In 2017, I purchased an orthodontic practice with an amazing customer-facing culture and a highly experienced team that had been together for years. As a young entrepreneur, I saw the need to modernize a practice that hadn’t changed since typewriters were in use. I had no experience leading a large team, managing transitions, setting clear expectations, creating systems for training and accountability, or inspiring a group toward a shared mission.

Due to poor hires, lack of clarity, fear of accountability, and a mismanaged transition, our team became disillusioned. A few bad apples and internal conflict among leaders led to the loss of key team members, and our patient experience began to suffer.

Enter West of Perfection. They diagnosed the core issues and created a roadmap for change, starting by equipping me and my leadership team with the skills to manage effectively. Through their program we mastered and implemented step by step. 

After a year with this amazing company, our culture was stronger than ever. We’ve implemented systems for training and accountability, hired and developed great new team members, and now manage change with intention. Today, we’re a leader in our space, mentoring other offices in culture and teamwork.
